The adoption video that we create is tailored to your experience. Each adoption story is as unique and varied as the children that are adopted. At Red Thread Stories, we capture that uniqueness in a moving mini-movie that documents your adoption process.
Our Video Stories are more than just your footage edited down. We use our expertise to craft each movie to you. When you sit down to watch with friends and family, you can just relax and enjoy the movie.
Our Process
As our client, you ship us your video footage, photos, and music via trackable mail.
When the package arrives, we go through everything to make sure it is in good order and to get a sense of your family and your unique experience.
The editing process takes about 7-10 days. After which, we review, quality check and package your DVD. Turn around time is typicallyy 2-4 weeks after your package arrives.
During the production process, we will be in touch with you via email or phone to update you on the status of your project. We will work personally with you to ensure that your movie is one you will cherish forever.
Our Prices
Our videos come in 3 lengths: a 10, 15, or 20 minute version. Your final movie is a professionally packaged DVD.

Photo Sorting
The perfect "add on" option for the family with TOO MANY photos! Do you have literally hundreds of photos from your adoption trip? Not sure which ones will be best for your video? Don't worry about it! Send us ALL YOUR PHOTOS. We will go through and select the perfect ones for your video so you don't have to. This option will save you hours of painstaking decision time.

Photo Scanning
Got paper photos? With this simple add on, we will scan all of your photos and put them onto cd for you.
Our Price: $2 per photo
Raw Footage Transfer to DVD
We can transfer all your unedited footage onto DVD if you'd like. One DVD per hour of footage, so we don't negate the quality of the picture.
Our Price: $50 per hour of footage
The New 20-Minute DVD
Previously we offered a 5, 10, or 15 minute movie. We have discontinued the 5 minute. But we are now thrilled to offer you a longer option of 20 minutes! Perfect for the family who has lots of footage or just wants to have more included in their edited movie.

Feature Documentary
We work with you to create a documentary film of your adoption experience. We will travel to your home before you travel to meet your baby. At that time we will conduct interviews with you and film footage of your life and home before your baby's arrival. Also during this time we will provide you with training on how to get gorgeous footage while you are traveling.
We will meet with you again once you return home with your new baby and you are through your adjustment period. We'll again conduct interviews and capture precious footage of your new family in action. All the footage will finally be edited into a documentary style movie. The finished product will be between 30 and 60 minutes.
Our Price: $2700 ($2000 for Denver area families)
Payment Terms
50% is due upfront when you ship your footage. 50% is due upon delivery. We accept personal checks or payment via PayPal.
Formats
We accept raw footage in the following formats: DV, mini-DV, Hi8, avi. We can edit footage from DVD, although the image quality is not as crisp as other formats.
Shipping
We require that all materials be shipped via trackable mail in order to ensure that your package arrives safely.
We ship your final DVD and all your materials via USPS Express with a tracking number so you need not worry about the safety of your tapes and photos. We email the tracking number to you when your package is shipped and follow up with you to ensure safe and timely delivery of your precious package!
